Overview of MiraCosta College' Facebook Page

The MiraCosta College's Facebook page currently has 12,497 likes and 12,268 followers. A typical post from the community college is about student life or information that can be relevant to a MiraCosta College student. The page also includes events like an upcoming theatre or dance shows. In terms of how often MiraCosta College post on their page is one post per day between the hours of 11am to 1pm.

The other community colleges in San Diego use Facebook Pages similar to MiraCosta; to engage with current and potential students. I think all three colleges to an effective job posting information about their classes and activities around the respected college. All three colleges have a call-to-action on their cover page. My favorite cover page is the one that San Diego City College created. They have an interesting action photo along with information about late-start classes. In the case of cover pages, I think MiraCosta's cover page of diverse students is great, but I would like a call-to-action along with their photo or at the very least an array of social media handles and hashtag to maintain a connection with its followers.
